Home 9 Prophetic Word 9 When You Feel Weary: God’s Promise for the Hidden Arrow (Isaiah 49)

When you feel weary: God‘s promise for the hidden arrow. Isaiah 49

This word of encouragement and strengthening is for any one in the Body of Christ, who has found themselves weary.
While praying over a recent word from our Cali Prophetic Team to “draw closer to the Lord than ever before,” the Lord began to speak to me through Isaiah 49.

I saw the strong arms of an archer, whom I knew was Jesus. He took an arrow in His hand. I noticed that the arrow was trembling. Then He pulled it close to His chest and held it tightly.

I heard the words, “Stay and abide.”

To stay is to remain. It is to continue in position, to stay the course, and to endure when the journey feels long. To abide is to make your home in Him. It is to live from His presence, resting in intimate connection with Him and trusting Him completely.

There are seasons of refining, seasons of preparation, and seasons of being hidden. At times, the waiting can feel long, and we may wonder if our labor has been in vain as weariness tests both our endurance and our faith. Yet no matter where you are in the process, a polished arrow does not become polished overnight. It is carefully chosen, shaped, and refined by the hands of the Archer.
I also noticed the quiver was on Jesus‘s back. Arrows can not see the path ahead, but the archer can. Jesus goes before you, preparing the way. You are held in His quiver in His perfect timing He will release you to display God’s glory.

Stay. Abide. Trust. The Archer never misses His mark and His timing is always perfect.

When you feel wearyListen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name.
He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.
He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.” But I said, “I have labored in vain; I have spent my strength for nothing at all. Yet what is due me is in the Lord’s hand, and my reward is with my God.” Isaiah 49:1–4 NIV
